It’s the big night. The finale of Mare of Easttown, starring Kate Winslet.
It was the first time we decided to stay up and watch the newest episode as soon as it was released, 10:00 pm on Sunday evening on HBO Max.
Well, it seems like a lot of other people had the same idea.
It’s now 10:20 and we can’t access HBO.
I guess they misunderestimated how many people wanted to watch the show.
I checked Twitter, and people are up in arms. But nothing on the HBO Max Twitter page about the problem.
The only good thing about all this is that it gave me something to write about…
HBO could be hoping that nobody noticed they were unable to watch the show. Just subscribe to Netflix, and eventually you may be able to watch it there.

HBO finally got it working, so now I don’t have to wait for Netflix…

Good. I saw a little blurb in the New York Post about this. So you were not alone in your frustration.

Being unable to broadcast the final episode is a big oops. I wonder if HBO will make people wait until next week to see this episode. I’m disappointed in the number of services we have to subscribe to to watch stuff. TV costs way too much these days.

they finally got it working after 25 minutes or so, at least for us. And yes, watching tv has gotten quite expensive. We just droppedour cable tv and switched to youtube tv. It saves us a few bucks a month and it seems to work fine…

As usual, I’m unfamiliar with the series. I do think Kate Winslet is an excellent actress, though.

she was great in this series; a big part of the appeal for us was that it was set in our neck of the woods…

I am sure there were a lot of fans very upset with not being able to watch the last episode last night. Just stay away from Twitter spoilers and I am sure you can find it to watch today. I hope you can all still get together to close out the season. Enjoy your holiday and stay safe!

we were able to watch it last night; it came on about 25 minutes late, at least for us. I hope you enjoy the holiday as well; it looks like the weather will finally be ok…

it finally did come on, about 25 minutes late. But it forced me to get my post done in a relatively short time period, for once 🙂

I gave my TV to a friend’s son back in the 80’s when I was studying for the CPA exam. By the time I passed all the parts I had grown used to living without it and haven’t had one since. But I certainly understand the frustration of being excited over something and then not getting to view it. I hope HBO will make it up to the viewers.

Glad you caught it! I’m just watching shows from years ago they are finally putting on Prime. I’m such a cheapskate!

It’s on tonight for us, but as I couldn’t get into it I won’t be giving you any spoilers. It’s just the latest in a string of heavily promoted American series on our Sky Atlantic channel that I’ve failed to finish even one episode of!

I did not open your post until late Monday just in case you had a spoiler since I had the last two episodes to watch today.

I made sure not to put any spoilers in there; hope you enjoyed it…

Yes, I even caught a Wawa reference in the last episode after you clued me into that landmark.

How strange Jim. I watched it while it aired instead of taping also. But no delays, it was on my HBO. Great episode!
