It’s Nice to Know We Are All in This Together

It’s the big night. The finale of Mare of Easttown, starring Kate Winslet.

It was the first time we decided to stay up and watch the newest episode as soon as it was released, 10:00 pm on Sunday evening on HBO Max.

Well, it seems like a lot of other people had the same idea.

It’s now 10:20 and we can’t access HBO.

I guess they misunderestimated how many people wanted to watch the show.

I checked Twitter, and people are up in arms. But nothing on the HBO Max Twitter page about the problem.

The only good thing about all this is that it gave me something to write about…

  1. Being unable to broadcast the final episode is a big oops. I wonder if HBO will make people wait until next week to see this episode. I’m disappointed in the number of services we have to subscribe to to watch stuff. TV costs way too much these days.

    1. they finally got it working after 25 minutes or so, at least for us. And yes, watching tv has gotten quite expensive. We just droppedour cable tv and switched to youtube tv. It saves us a few bucks a month and it seems to work fine…

  2. I am sure there were a lot of fans very upset with not being able to watch the last episode last night. Just stay away from Twitter spoilers and I am sure you can find it to watch today. I hope you can all still get together to close out the season. Enjoy your holiday and stay safe!

  3. I gave my TV to a friend’s son back in the 80’s when I was studying for the CPA exam. By the time I passed all the parts I had grown used to living without it and haven’t had one since. But I certainly understand the frustration of being excited over something and then not getting to view it. I hope HBO will make it up to the viewers.

      1. Glad you caught it! I’m just watching shows from years ago they are finally putting on Prime. I’m such a cheapskate!

  4. It’s on tonight for us, but as I couldn’t get into it I won’t be giving you any spoilers. It’s just the latest in a string of heavily promoted American series on our Sky Atlantic channel that I’ve failed to finish even one episode of!
