It’s Deja Vu All Over Again, Again

I must like the phrase deja vu.

When I came up with the title for this post, I did a quick search of my web site, and found that I’ve used the phrase in several previous posts. In addition, I’ve used a twist on the idea of deja vu, called vuja de, in two previous posts. In fact, one of my previous posts had the title, “It’s Deja Vu All Over Again”. That’s why I added the extra “Again” at the end of the title for this post, to show you that it is a completely different post. And that it’s not deja vu, all over again…

So what is the deja vu this time?

Well, it’s 10:30 at night, and up until a few minutes ago, I didn’t have an idea for a blog post for today yet. Then it struck me how many times this has happened over the past ten years.

I know there is no one forcing me to write a blog post every day, and I’m sure many subscribers to this blog would probably enjoy a break every now and then (or maybe it’s the other way around, maybe they would prefer that I post something just every now and then).

But I guess I have a bit of OCD, and a bit of wanting to see how long I can keep this current streak of daily blogging going (I’m up to seven days!)

So we’ll see how long the streak lasts; I don’t feel as much of a need to try and match my last streak. But if I can keep it going, I will.

You can also tell how much thought goes into these posts.

A few minutes ago I had no idea what I was going to write about, and here I am getting ready to hit the Publish button.

As Seth Godin has said, it’s all about the shipping…

  1. I love the phrase deja vu but rarely use it. It’s funny you would share this post today because all I want to do is go to bed but instead I’m working on a post to share instead because I promised myself I would post 6 days a week every week this year.

  2. I’m rarely at a loss for something to write about, but rather I have so many things in my mind that they get twisted like strands of spaghetti and keep me from being able to gather a single coherent thought! I call it ‘mind bounce’ and it happens more and more often these days. Sigh.

  3. The perfect title for this post. Keep the posts coming, even if it’s not every day. My deja vu is constantly saying I’ll catch up reading blog posts. Ha!

  4. As always, you are the master of writing something about ???. I am a bit late in catching up to you, but then my streak of staying in touch with other bloggers is always subject to interruptions. Jim, I enjoyed!

  5. very interesting thought about the streak.get in your place with the blog of nine ways to say “ough” (hope you welcome:D)and happy to find a fun character. maybe for me,the longest lasting streak is to keep accounts on my phone with accouting app which i insist more than 10 years:) and now have become a natural habit with zero pressure.

i subscribed and look forward to your story in Australia. good luck!

  6. I have not heard the seth godin name in years and you had me looking that up – (“real artists ship” and other things came my way)

so thanks for that – and I guess this is what a seasoned blogger does – they write a quick post and end up adding in some nice little nuggets for readers.
