As a child, Oreos were always one of my favorite cookies.
Much later in life, their value went way up when I found out that Oreos are suitable for vegans (well, sort of).
So when my wife sent me the wonderful video below, I didn’t think it was possible that I could like Oreos anymore than I already did. But I was wrong.
It’s a heartwarming look at acceptance and the power of love.
Oreo has launched a partnership with PFLAG, the country’s oldest LGBTQ+ ally organization, to create #ProudParent, a year-long initiative designed to shine a spotlight on the powerful impact love & acceptance can have on LGBTQ+ youth.
As part of the partnership, Oreo has created limited edition #ProudParent cookies featuring rainbow-colored creme, which they will be giving away to the first 10,000 people who share a photo showing what allyship means to them.
Well done, Nabisco/Mondelez…

that is a beautiful initiative and yes, more reasons to love oreos

They sure look good. I might have gained a pound just looking at the package.

I’m bummed because I don’t think I’ll get a chance to try them, unless they decide to sell them in stores…

Maybe there’s a knock-off brand that sells them.

I think you need to find them and send me a pack since you made me tear up now! Very moving!

If I find them, I’ll send you some, along with some wine… 🙂

It seemed kind of saccharine to me. But I would like one of those oreos.

I wonder if they use saccharine in Oreos…

Maybe, if they’re diet Oreos.

That was fantastic. Imagine living in a world that only cared about being a loving person instead of who you love.

I never tasted Oreo before I was 19, but it was love at first taste. Love it with milk and now sharing that love with my son.
Nice video 🙂

what a nice thing for you and your son to bond over!

Thanks. Although at times it closer to “fight over” than bonding 😂

Oh well! I have to say it but what is there to like about an Oreo? my grandson loves them with milk as much as I dislike them…

A nice video, but shame about the Oreos. I’ve always found them disgusting!

you are the second Brit today who has noted a dislike for Oreos. Perhaps they are more suited for the American palate… 🙂

I guess so. No doubt we’ll be force fed them after the trade deal is done…

Thoughtful initiative! Thanks for sharing Jim. Being tempted with Oreos, I hope I can avoid them at the store . . . keep my sugars under control.
