I was doing some housecleaning the other day, which means it was time for me to crank up my YouTube playlist. It’s one of the rare times I listen to music while I am at home, and many of the songs on my playlist are at least 40 years old.
It’s a great way to take my mind off the housework, and bring back memories of some of my favorite songs.
So I’d thought I’d keep this post simple, and just share a few of these favorites, some of which you may not have heard of for years (or ever!).
I hope watching at least one of these will put a smile on your face.
Bonus for those who scrolled past the last video.
A couple of months ago I went to a Villanova baseball game, and it appeared that every Nova player had a “song” that played when they came to bat. It seemed like most of the songs were what I would generically call rap. I started thinking about what song I would pick, and I thought of “Sugar, Sugar”.
I think the song could serve two purposes. First, it would likely get the crowd into the game (who can avoid singing along to “Sugar, Sugar”. Second, it would probably throw the other team off a bit, leading them to possibly underestimate whoever is standing at the plate.
