Today was our annual Father’s Day mini-golf outing.
The weather was right up my alley – hot and humid.
And it was one of my best rounds ever; it was the first time I had two holes-in-one in one round on this course. (And in a video chat with our sons later we discussed what the proper plural was of a hole-in-one. My one son found evidence that the Oxford English Dictionary states that it is indeed holes-in-one.)
When I reflected back on what may have caused my improved putting, all I could think of was the fact that I now have plates in screws in both my wrists as a result of my two broken wrists from last fall. Having that metal in me probably helps keep my wrists straight while putting
So my advice to the members of the PGA who want to improve their putting is to break both your wrists and have some plates and screws installed. Of course, there is always the chance the PGA will outlaw such a move if they feel it gives a player an unfair advantage 🙂
Happy Fathers’ Day to all!
