  1. Hmmm…these are good! I think I may have to correct just a few. Moscato is better than Guinness or Bud
Crunchy pb is better than smooth!
But I can agree on all the other ones, though I will admit that you can have as many immature women as men! Just in a different way. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I have probably had chunky or creamy peanut butter every day for the last fifty years. Some foods get tiresome when you eat them too much, but not that one.

  3. my personal stats on this one: I agree with 8/10 on this one. my changes would be that Reese’s peanut butter cups are the best kind of peanut butter of all, and the police are the best band of all.

  4. The only one of these galactic truths I could argue is your bromance with The Boss. Although his body of work speaks for itself as to his talents, “better than any music group” is just a bit of a stretch for me. But if you want to hang out eating smooth peanut butter sandwiches and Ruffles chips, washing them down with some fine Guinness as we watch the sunrise on another warm day, tapping out our blogs on our IPads, smiling our way through another vacation day of lounging around in our t-shirts and shorts discussing the merits of love with some beautiful mature women, then I am okay with a little Springsteen playing in the background!

  5. Iโ€™ve no idea what Ruffles are, so Iโ€™m voting out of 11 not 12. Iโ€™ll give you 9. Much though I enjoy the Bossโ€™s music, the Beatles are still my #1. And I disagree on peanut butter too, though we donโ€™t consume it by the bucket load like you guys do. As for the Bud one, that was easy to agree with, and you could have included any American โ€˜beerโ€™ instead: theyโ€™re what we call โ€˜gnats piss,โ€™ weak, tasteless and gassy. Ugh!

    1. The Beatles would be number 2 for me, but I can understand why many people would put them at number 1.

And yes, I do eat peanut butter by the bucket.

There are some good American beers; if you ever make it to Philly, I’ll treat you to a few… ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Itโ€™s arguable, but without the Beatles would rock music have taken off the way that it did?

Not just you, it seems to be a national thing there. I guess theyโ€™re grown there, whereas we have to import our peanut butter supplies.

Iโ€™m not allowed air travel for health reasons, nor alcohol either, so Iโ€™m afraid Iโ€™ll have to pass on your kind offer. Itโ€™s good to know there are some good ones though – the ones we get here are pretty awful! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. Hi Jim,

Extrapolations are dangerous. For example, even if you think the Mac operating system is better than Windows, the market share for Macs is still less than 20%. In your curriculum, you would not be doing your students a favor if you did not favor the Windows operating system since Windows is the one most of them will encounter in their jobs following graduation, especially business students.

The E-Street band can’t hold a candle to the big bands of the 1940s and 1950s, and if PBS had a current weekly Lawrence Welk show followed by an E-Street band show, I know which would consistently have the most viewers.

I actually like winter, because I don’t have to plant, weed, mow, or worry about ticks, black flies, and mosquitoes. Sure there’s snow to be moved while riding in the warm cab of my tractor, but big snow storms only happen now and then and moving the white stuff with a tractor is sort of fun.

Up here the sports stores thrive more in ski and snow mobile season than in hiking and camping season. This is partly due to price tag differences.

Sunsets are actually better than sunrises, because sunsets take place during happy hours.

Is is maturity that leads to a higher frequency of complaining?

Love is not better than hate in all respects such as when hate/fear leads to better innovations in a competitive world? Of course both hate and love can also be dysfunctional in some contexts. Many stalkers claim that their love makes them obsessed with their targets.

    1. we require our students in the Business School to come to school with a Windows PC, primarily so that they have access to @Risk in Excel.

      I like your argument about sunsets… ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmmmm… Lawrence Welk vs the Boss. I wonder how many people under the age of 40 have ever heard of Welk…

You’ll never convince about the cold weather. We hope to retire to Florida when we retire…

  7. I disagree fairly substantially with five of your points.
Can’t judge on the beer since I don’t drink either. They both work in a casserole, depending on what you’re casseroling (but then, my sister boils her hams in coca cola, so what kind of endorsement is that?)

  8. I find the comments so much more entertaining than the post…of which I can’t remember all now..but crunchy is my preference over smooth and Apple unless it is crunchy is not for me… the Boss or the Beatles neither…Have a nice day ๐Ÿ™‚ x I do love a nice sunrise though and a sundowner…hehe

  9. Technically speaking, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are a music group. So if they are better than any music group, that by definition means that they must be better than themselves. Which might be exactly what you meant.
