Another Saturday night
And I ain’t got a blog post
I got some ideas but none of them good
Now, how I wished I’d written it sooner
I’m in an awful way

I started blogging years ago
I’ve written lots of posts since then
If I could write ’em in advance I would
But as yet I haven’t learned to
That’s why I’m in the shape I’m in…

Another Saturday night

Another blogger told me
He had a post I could use
Instead of helping with my stats
No one offered me their congrats
So now it’s time to drink some booze

It’s hard on a blogger
When he’s got nothing to write
If I don’t find me an idea
I’ll claim I had diarrhea

  6. And with an irreverent rendition of a classic song, the old man keeps the streak alive and well. I am going to consider that another successful attempt at poetry. This made me laugh. Ingenious post!

  11. If you’re ever stuck again, I suggest you try paraphrasing the words to Albatross. That should occupy you for a nanosecond or two, and you could always try Classical Gas as a follow up 😉

    Glad to know there is another blogger that doesn’t plan ahead! Its just whatever comes to my mind at the moment.
    I would say you are doing just fine with that method, as proven with this. 🙂
