Four Days, Four Babies. It’s Time for Hugging!

What a week.

In the span of four days last week, four babies were born to people we know.

First, it was my wife’s niece, followed the next day by my wife’s cousin’s daughter, then by our next-door neighbor, and finally by a good friend of my wife’s niece. Thankfully all the moms and babies are doing well, and my wife has been busy picking out gifts on Amazon. (I’m going to try and sneak an iPad into her shopping cart…)

I think the four babies should all get together about 18 months from now and re-enact the following:

By the way, one of the moms told us that she had to get tested for COVID-19 as part of the process. She said it was worse than having the baby.

If that’s not enough to keep you quarantined, I don’t know what is…

Congratulations to all the families – I wish you the best of luck!

  1. Awh so sweet! Congrats to the families of the babies. Such Joy!
I had posted that same video on my FB page, I love it! As a hugger, that has been the worst part of this virus!! I want to see my family and friends and give them such big hugs!! And baby cuddles!! I have a Great nephew that was born in March and I still haven’t been able to cuddle yet!

  2. That’s quite a baby streak! I’ve seen that YouTube clip before, and it’s one of my favorites. One year I had a remarkable thing happen with three of my twenty students born on the same day. There were a pair of twin girls and one boy. What made the story more remarkable was that the two moms didn’t know each other before giving birth to their babies and became the closest of friends.

    1. I love the video as well.

we became great friends with two other couples in our Lamaze class; all of us were having our first child. 37 years later, and we are still great friends with them…

  3. Congratulations to all the proud parents! What a unique coincidence of timing. (If you can, slip a pair of Air Buds in with your iPad, they will come in handy) Charming video and great post, Jim! I have heard discussions that this lockdown may be the catalyst for the next baby boom.
