Tonight my son and I, along with a couple of neighbors, are going to see My Morning Jacket at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia).
I must admit I don’t know much about My Morning Jacket, although my son is trying to give me a crash course using YouTube. Based on what I’ve seen and heard, I am excited about the show.
Getting ready for tonight’s concert got me thinking about past concerts I’ve been to, so I thought I’d put together a list of various acts I’ve seen over the years. I’m sure I’m missing a few, but this should capture most of the ones I’ve been to. In hindsight, it’s not that an extensive list, at least compared to some people I know who have been to well over a hundred concerts.
There’s also a couple of bands I think I’ve seen, but I’m not quite sure. I also included a list of shows I’d like to see, as well as a short list of a couple of acts I wish I had seen, but now there’s no opportunity to do so.
Many of these concerts were at the Spectrum in Philadelphia (pictured above), a classic venue. I came across this listing of concerts at the Spectrum that was helpful in recalling some of the concerts below. The Spectrum opened in 1967 and its demolition was completed in 2011.
